Recent studies suggest that red cayenne pepper helps in burning more calories and curbing the appetite. This study was supported by the National Institutes of Health, and found that about half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper either as a part of the food or consumed in a capsule helped people burn more calories over a four-hour period, compared to eating the same meal but without cayenne pepper.
Cayenne pepper was also very effective in decreasing the appetite. Why spend lot of dollars on unhealthy weight loss pills, when you can use a more effective natural spice?
